176: Finished Projects

Hooray! I'm so excited to share the recent projects that I finished. And I have photos! Not very good photos...but photos nonetheless. Let's start with the Neck Candy from Luxury Yarn One-Skein Wonders: 101 Small Indulgences. I made mine out of some Manos that I got in Ashland, Oregon (I'm trying to work through my stash...yay!). I loooove the colors. So pretty! (rav project link)

I think I'm going to get a shawl pin for it instead of buttons.

Next we have the Bainbridge Scarf. I made mine out of Mirasol Sulka, which was much bulkier weight than the pattern called for, so I only cast on about 120 stitches and still used up two skeins...I originally had one skein in my stash but I ran out in the middle of working on the scarf, so of course, I had to get more.

I had just enough left from this project to make a little flower from Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs.

So pretty!

172: Why Hello There

One seventy two minus ninety five equals seventy seven. 77 days without blogging. More than two months. So what is there to talk about today? I've started working for the rest of my life, about a month ago (has it been a month already?). Which also means I graduated.

My mom's kind of silly and took this picture...
Where does the time go?

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that now that I'm working I don't have any homework and have time to knit and crochet to my hearts content...kind of. The bad news is that I'm working -- just kidding. The real bad news is that I don't have any pictures of the stuff I've been working on. Soon enough, though. The following pictures are of crocheted gifts that my friend Garnet (on ravelry) made for me for my birthday.

Aren't they adorable!!! I heart them.

I really think I should have done weeks instead of days. My life isn't that exciting. The other day I had an encounter with a moth. That was about as exciting as it got. I ended up throwing an empty Lysol wipes container at the blinds...Oh! I also got a hair cut! I got bangs! My first time since I cut them off (myself) at like 5 years old. They're cute but I think I should have gotten full bangs and not side bangs. Ok, I'm going to stop for now so I have something to talk about the next time I decide to blog.
