WIP: Twin Leaf Loop

I recently bought Alana Dakos's new book, Botanical Knits. I love it, I want to knit everything in it! When I went to Stitches West I stopped by the Becoming Art booth and picked up two skeins of this bulky yarn called Jolie in the Fig colorway.

I promptly started knitting the Twin Leaf Loop (Ravelry link) and am now pretty close to finished.

It's been a while since I've knit lace so it took me a couple of repeats to get the pattern down, but after that it was really simple and so quick!

I've already cast it off and I'm hoping to block it and sew the ends together soon.

FO: Handspun - Memories

I'm always too excited to start spinning to take a picture of the fiber beforehand. I really should because it changes so much. Lucky for me, Becoming Art had a picture on their site (which it looks like they sold so it's not currently there anymore.

I got this fiber at Stitches West, either one or two years ago...It's 80% merino and 20% silk - sooo soft (it's possible I may say this about all the fiber I spin).

Lovely night picture which does not do the fiber justice...

I loved spinning this up. The colors were gorgeous, the muted pinks and purples.

I divided the fiber in half and spun two singles.

Then I plied the two singles together.

The 3.5 oz of fiber gave me about 360 yards of a fingering weight yarn.

Now what to make with it?
